We Build Authority. Not Just Links.
The thinking, standards, and editorial approach behind every Upgrade Links campaign.
Editorial Quality
Every link comes from a real editorial placement — no directories, no PBNs, no shortcuts that risk your rankings.
Revenue-First Targeting
We map every link to the pages that drive leads and sales — not just traffic or vanity authority metrics.
Full Transparency
Monthly reports with every link documented: the URL, DR, anchor text, and measurable ranking movement.
How It Started
Upgrade Links grew out of hands-on SEO work where backlink audits kept showing the same problem: too many businesses were being sold links that looked impressive in a spreadsheet but created little real authority.
Across audit after audit, we found low-quality placements, irrelevant domains, and link patterns that were risky enough to require cleanup. In some cases, the work was not just ineffective. It was actively harmful, and we had to help clients reduce the damage through disavow and profile clean-up work before growth could begin again.
That was the gap that led to Upgrade Links. We wanted a more disciplined system built around trusted placements, stronger editorial judgment, and long-term authority rather than link volume.
What We Learned Early
Most weak link building has the same flaws: poor relevance, no real editorial standards, inflated metrics, and placements created to satisfy reports instead of supporting rankings.
We built Upgrade Links to move in the opposite direction. The goal was simple: if a link does not make sense for the page, the publication, and the brand being promoted, it is not worth building.
What Makes Us Different
Quality control is the core of the business. We prioritise editorial relevance over raw quantity and review every opportunity through a stricter lens than most vendors in this space.
- We vet sites manually instead of relying on surface-level metrics alone.
- We look for real websites with real audiences, not recycled inventory.
- We prioritise contextual, editorial placements over spammy link sources.
- We focus on links that strengthen authority, not just monthly totals.
How We Approach Link Building
Over time, we built relationships with publishers, editors, and site owners across a wide range of industries. Those relationships matter because they create access to placements that are more relevant, better reviewed, and more durable than mass-market link lists.
Our role is to develop strong campaign angles, create useful content, and place brands where the editorial fit makes sense. That means the work is slower and more selective than low-cost link selling, but the output is cleaner and more defensible.
Why This Matters More Now
Modern search rewards authority, trust, and relevance more than ever. Google, AI-driven discovery, and answer engines all lean toward brands that are consistently cited in credible places and associated with strong information.
Backlinks still matter because they help search engines understand which sites are trusted within a topic. But the standard is higher now. Weak placements rarely create durable results. Relevant editorial links still do.
Why We Still Believe Links Are One of the Best SEO Investments
Great content matters, technical SEO matters, and site experience matters, but strong backlinks continue to be one of the clearest authority signals in competitive markets. Without them, even strong pages often struggle to earn the visibility they deserve.
That is why we do not sell volume for the sake of volume. We focus on placements that support rankings, strengthen credibility, and give the rest of the SEO strategy a better chance to compound.
What Clients Come to Us For
Clients usually come to Upgrade Links after they have already seen the downside of cheap link building. They want a cleaner process, better placement standards, and work that actually fits their brand.
What they get is a more careful approach built around editorial quality, real publisher relationships, and authority growth that is meant to hold up over time.
